My wife and I met at Alma College, a small private college set in Alma, Michigan, a small town known primarily for the college, the annual Highland Festival, a large Masonic Home and a big, smelly Total refinery. In short, not a lot.

When we finally decided to tie the knot on January 14, 1995, it only seemed right that we do it in the chapel of Alma College. Being into medieval reenactment (yeah, the Society for Creative Anachronism) it also seemed right that we do it in medieval garb, instead of rented tuxes and expensive, soon to be packed away, wedding dresses.
